A Bequest to Further Good Work
David and Nancy have always believed in the power of education to transform lives. As longtime supporters of Utah Valley University (UVU), they've seen firsthand how UVU opens doors for students, many of whom are balancing school, work, and family responsibilities, to pursue meaningful careers and create better futures.
- David: "UVU's mission to provide accessible, affordable, and high-quality education really spoke to us. We've watched students thrive in programs like business, healthcare, engineering, and the arts. These students aren't just earning degrees, they're building lives, supporting families, and contributing to Utah's economy. We wanted to be part of that legacy."
- Nancy: "We regularly made annual gifts, but when we learned about UVU's Legacy Society, we saw an opportunity to do more. We met with our attorney and added a provision in our wills to leave a percentage of our estate to UVU. It was simple to arrange, and it allows us to continue using our assets during our lifetime."
- David: "We shared our decision with UVU's gift planning team and were honored to be invited to a special event recognizing legacy donors. It was inspiring to meet students whose lives are being changed by scholarships and support programs. Knowing our gift will help future Wolverines succeed, many of whom will be the first in their families to graduate, is deeply meaningful."
- Nancy: "We'll continue to support UVU while we're here, but it feels good to know our legacy will live on. Our planned gift will help students access education, build careers, and create better lives for their families. That's the kind of impact we always hoped to make."
