How to Make a Gift of Retirement Assets

Leaving retirement assets, such as an IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other tax-deferred plan, to Utah Valley University is a meaningful way to support future generations of students. To do so, simply complete a beneficiary designation form provided by your retirement plan custodian and name UVU as a beneficiary.

Because UVU is a nonprofit organization, we can receive the full value of your gift without it being subject to income or estate taxes. Your estate may also benefit from a charitable deduction, helping reduce potential tax burdens.
